Class experience structure

Each experience consists of

(1) Pre-class creation: Each child is asked to create an object and bring it to the class

(2) 30-minute live class interaction: A tutor tells a story around the topic and helps the child discuss their creation.

(3) Post-class collaboration: Each child records a short video presentation and uploads it on a collaborative board. Learners can comment on each other’s videos (comments are moderated).

Example – Make ‘My Story’ Book Cover

  1. Pre-class: Invite your child to create a book cover for ‘My Story’ with a template we provide. You can show some examples to inspire your child. Ask your child to bring his/her creation to the class.
  2. In-Class: A tutor tells a story around the topic of self-introduction and helps to structure a conversation around it. Please click the class slides to get some idea of the class flow. (actual learning experience might differ, depending on each learner’s existing level and progress)
  3. Post-class: Help your child to record a video to explain his/her book cover (in Chinese) and upload it on our collaborative board. You can also download the vocabulary list to help your child with his/her presentation.

What are parents saying?

What do parents say…

“Exciting and engaging from the beginning of class…So much effort and preparation went into making this class a theatrical, entertaining experience for learners! It was planned in great detail and flows well…After class was finished, the teacher shared a short pdf activity book of ‘Pencil & Paper Games’. My son thinks it looks fun and doesn’t want to save it for tomorrow or another day to practice. It includes more work with the pinyin and the hanzi characters used in class. I highly recommend this course. “
